Organised by Sarah Ollerenshaw and featuring works from local creatives from Wimbledon Art Studios as well as artists in the congregation, the event is a fundraiser to support the community youth projects of St Paul's Wimbledon Parkside. Entry is free.
HeART of Wimbledon Parkside opens on St Paul's 'Open Day', Saturday 25th September (from 10 am), and can be viewed during church open hours until Thursday 7th October. (For Open Church hours click here.)
Visitors can bid in a silent auction of the works on display. Bids may be submitted at any time during the exhibition (or you will be able to message Sarah your maximum bids via her Instagram page: @sarah.ollerenshaw. artist).
There will be a raffle (£2 per ticket or 3 for £5) with prizes for all ages and the opportinity to win Sarah Ollerenshaw's limited edition print 'I Rest On Your Unchanging Grace' (see poster and below) and Ian Mowforth's linocut 'Bertie'. Other prizes include lunch for two at Cent Anni Italian restaurant in Wimbledon; a wine selection; 'Arty' the giant husky, and a surpise offering from Fleur Anderson MP.
An evening reception with music will take place at St Paul's in the presence of local dignitaries on Thursday 7th October from 6 pm. Wine and snacks will be served and all are welcome. Silent auction bids will close at 8 pm after which the winning bidders will be able to take their works home!
